Week 10 - Recap
Between week 9 and week 10, I met with the clients on December 5th to show the final collateral. They responded very positively to the new collateral as well as the new branding. They would still like to use the old logo, but keep the new logo for future uses. They had minor critiques but the meeting went very well.
Week 9 - Recap
Continued work on brochure, making minor changes. I also started working on buttons that they had requested.

Week 8 - Recap
I received a message from Davild Wilder, the Senior and Disabled Fund's president and I was informed that he will not be at the next meeting of SDF planned for December 5, 2016, as he will be up in Sacramento on business.
This may end up delaying the current work schedule of having everything done by the 5th to turn into the client. However, this may be a blessing in disguise, as it will most likely give us a couple extra weeks to finish the project, and I will most likely send them the finished products through email or at their first meeting of the new year.
I will have to discuss this with my group and see how we plan to move forward.

Week 7 - Recap
In response to the client's request of having less happy seniors on their brochure, I looked for more images of seniors that looked more troubled, which is the client's target demographic. Below are some of the images I have found

Week 6 - Recap
I met with the client on Monday, November 7, 2016 to show them the brochure, which is their main concern. Received feedback as to what to change, what to add and what to take out. The client wanted more diverse images, and images that are "less happy" (referring to picture of seniors playing basketball.
Side note: Seniors do not like Lorem Ipsum.

Week 4 - Recap
After researching colors and how seniors respond to them, I ended up going with a monochromatic color scheme to help with the costs of printing. Their plan is to print the brochures in black and white to save money, so I used a green color, which is already part of their website, and would be easily translatable to black and white when going to print.
After researching typefaces, I made a few changes to the style tile, using a typeface with uniform strokes and slightly larger x-height. The header and sub-header typeface were changed as well to Georgia, as it has a large x-height and relates to the target demographic.
